FAQS

  • Our trips are designed to champion women. We’ve scoured the globe for the best experiences: each of our itineraries has a core focus on supporting women-owned businesses throughout your journey. Let Cherish Tours help you create memories and lifelong friends with our uniquely curated, women-only travel tours.

  • Cherish travelers are adventurous and curious women, just like you. We embrace travelers of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. We’re all different, but we’re united by our love of travel: we seek out immersive and unique experiences, and ways to connect with the world around us. We never settle for the status quo, and believe in self-growth at any age. We’re here to support women and cheer you along, before, during and after your trip with us.

  • Guests should fly into Lisbon Airport on May 14, 2027.

At the end of the trip, Cherish will provide a group transfer back to Porto, with drop-offs available at both Porto Airport and Porto city center on May 22, 2027. Flights should be scheduled for 1:00 PM or later to allow for a comfortable transfer from Galicia back to Portugal.

  • We recommend checking government websites for official, up-to-date information on your entry requirements, but so that you have a general understanding of what to expect, you will likely need:

    • A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining beyond your travel dates

    • No tourist visa for U.S. citizens traveling to Portugal and Spain for fewer than 90 days within a 180-day period

    • Proof of onward or return travel

    • Information about your accommodations and purpose of travel

    • ETIAS travel authorization, if required by the time of this trip

Portugal and Spain are part of the Schengen Area, which currently allows U.S. citizens to visit for tourism for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa.

ETIAS, Europe’s upcoming travel authorization system for visa-exempt travelers, is currently scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2026. Since this trip takes place in May 2027, U.S. travelers may need to complete ETIAS authorization before departure. ETIAS is not a visa, but an electronic travel authorization linked to your passport.

Please note, this list is geared toward U.S. citizens traveling from the United States. Travelers holding a non-U.S. passport should research their own specific entry requirements before booking.

  • Our Portugal and Spain trip is a culturally immersive food, wine, and coastal journey that balances well-known highlights with more off-the-beaten-path experiences in Galicia. We expect all travelers to be respectful of local cultures, traditions, community spaces, and the people who welcome us into their businesses, homes, farms, boats, and neighborhoods throughout the journey.

This trip includes a mix of guided walks, market experiences, boat rides, wine tastings, wellness activities, and local food experiences. Travelers should be comfortable walking on cobblestone streets, navigating stairs and uneven surfaces, getting on and off boats, and spending full days exploring.

Please inquire further or schedule a call with us if you have any questions about whether this trip is the right fit for you.

  • Absolutely. In fact, most Cherish travelers join us solo. Our trips are intentionally designed to create meaningful connections among women who share a love of travel, curiosity, and adventure.

Many travelers arrive without knowing anyone and leave with lifelong friendships. Whether you're outgoing or more reserved, you'll find a welcoming community and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow travelers throughout the journey.

  • Yes. This itinerary is thoughtfully planned, but it is not designed to feel overly packed or rushed.

You’ll have free time built into the journey to explore independently, rest, enjoy a quiet meal, shop, book optional experiences, or simply take in the places we’re visiting at your own pace.

Cherish will provide curated recommendations to help you make the most of your free time, but we also believe some of the best travel moments happen when there’s space to wander, linger, and follow your curiosity.

  • For every Cherish trip, we provide a dedicated guide to travel alongside you for the duration of the journey. Our guides help facilitate the itinerary, coordinate with local partners, and ensure every traveler has an incredible experience. That’s why we call our team Memory Creators.

This trip will be hosted by Megan, the Founder of Cherish Tours.

Megan will travel alongside the group throughout the journey to help facilitate the experience, support group connection, coordinate with local partners, and ensure guests feel cared for from arrival through departure. She will be joined by trusted local guides, hosts, chefs, and experience providers throughout Portugal and Spain.
