  • Entry Requirements for Costa Rica*

    • Valid passport within at least six months of expiration

    • Return ticket to the country of origin or the next destination to visit

    • In some cases, the Immigration official may request you show economic solvency for your stay in the country.

    • Address of the place of lodging and purpose of travel

    • Currently, there are no COVID-19 related requirements for US travelers

    • US travelers do not require a tourist visa to visit Costa Rica

    The Costa Rica trip is approachable for women of all ages who consider themselves to be lightly active, open-minded, and outgoing.
    The Costa Rica trip has several opportunities for personal choice in order to have an experience that feels curated to your specific needs. The group activities that require consideration for your physical fitness level are Turrialba Volcano hike*, tubing on the Pejibaye River*, and the elevation gain to the tallest active volcano in Costa Rica.
    The activities labeled with an asterisk* are optional activities that you can add to your experience or that you may opt out of if you so choose.

  • Absolutely. In fact, most Cherish travelers join us solo. Our trips are intentionally designed to create meaningful connections among women who share a love of travel, curiosity, and adventure.

    Many travelers arrive without knowing anyone and leave with lifelong friendships. Whether you're outgoing or more reserved, you'll find a welcoming community and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow travelers throughout the journey.

    Who is your Travel Guide for the Costa Rica Trip? For every Cherish trip, we provide a dedicated guide to travel alongside you for the duration of the trip. They are with you to not only facilitate the itinerary but also ensure you have an incredible travel experience. That's why we call our team "Memory Creators". They work with our local partners, tour operators, etc. to seamlessly create an impactful and memorable experience for your vacation.

  • The full Tanzania journey takes place March 4-13, 2027.

    The safari portion runs March 4-10, 2027, and the optional Zanzibar extension runs March 10-13, 2027.
