    Cherish facilitates all group transportation for your trip, including picking you up from the airport and dropping you off for your departure flight. Keflavík International Airport is approximately 1 hour away from Reykjavik city center. We will arrange one transfer for the group, if you would prefer to go into the city earlier than the scheduled transfer time you will need to book your own transportation. Suggested arrival time prior to 5:00 PM on September 19th to allow enough time for pick up and transfer from the airport in order to join the group dinner at 7:00 PM.

    Our hotel in Keflavík is conveniently located only 5-minutes drive from the airport. Your guide will inform the hotel of your departure time in order to coordinate a transfer accordingly. Departures are at your leisure on September 27th.

    Full pick up details will be sent to you at least one week prior to your arrival.

    COVID-19 Travel Requirements

    Iceland does NOT require any vaccinations, testing, or otherwise for entry related to COVID-19.

    The Faroe Islands are a part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Both countries no longer consider COVID-19 deadly and do NOT have entry requirements related to the virus.

    • Valid passport within at least six months of expiration

    • Return ticket to the country of origin or the next destination to visit

    • American travelers are only allowed in the EU for up to 90 days

    • Address of the place of lodging and purpose of travel.

    • US travelers do not require a tourist visa to visit the Faroe Islands, or Iceland

    • We are closely tracking the need for an ETIAS visa and will keep our travelers updated

    *This list is geared towards US Citizens traveling from the US. Travelers who hold a non-US passport should inquire further to gain more information about their own specific travel requirements.

  • Our Tanzania Safari is a culturally immersive experience that requires some additional considerations compared to many of Cherish's other destinations. We expect all travelers to be respectful of local cultures, traditions, and wildlife throughout the journey.

    Safari days often include early mornings, several hours in a safari vehicle, and occasionally bumpy roads as we search for wildlife. The lodges we stay at are comfortable, charming, and thoughtfully selected, but they are not five-star luxury resorts (which we think is part of the adventure). Some accommodations may include mosquito nets and other features common to safari lodges.

    We also believe travel can deepen our understanding of the world around us. During your time in Tanzania, you may encounter poverty and lifestyles that differ significantly from your own. We encourage travelers to approach these experiences with curiosity, respect, and an open mind.

    Who is your Travel Guide for the Nordic Getaway? For every Cherish trip, we provide a dedicated guide to travel alongside you for the duration of the trip. They are with you to not only facilitate the itinerary but also ensure you have an incredible travel experience. That's why we call our team "Memory Creators". They work with our local partners, tour operators, etc. to seamlessly create an impactful and memorable experience for your vacation.

    The Nordic Getaway is approachable for women of all ages who consider themselves to be lightly active, open-minded, and outgoing.
    The Nordic Getaway is curated with active and adventurous travelers in mind. We have several full-group activities planned to make the most of this grand adventure. There are a couple of group activities that require consideration for your physical fitness level. These include the Glacier Hike and River Valley Hike in Iceland and the Postman's Hike in the Faroe Islands. Each of our travelers are able to opt out of all of the more difficult hikes.

  • The full Tanzania journey takes place March 4-13, 2027.

    The safari portion runs March 4-10, 2027, and the optional Zanzibar extension runs March 10-13, 2027.

  • The cost of the Tanzania Safari varies depending on whether you choose to share a room with a fellow Cherish traveler or enjoy the privacy of your own room. The shared room price is $6,995 for the 7-day safari experience, or $7,895 for a private room throughout the safari portion of the trip.

    For travelers who would like to continue their adventure, the optional Zanzibar Extension is available for an additional $1,425 per person. All rooms during the Zanzibar extension are private rooms.

    To reserve your spot, we require a $500 deposit at the time of booking. Flexible payment plans are available, allowing you to divide the remaining balance into monthly payments leading up to the trip. The final payment is due no later than December 4, 2026.

  • This trip is expected to fill quickly. Bookings are now officially open, and will be available until December 4, 2026 or until we sell out. 

    To secure your spot once booking opens, simply select your room type and submit your deposit. Because we keep our groups intentionally small, availability is limited.
