Yes. Mexico City welcomes millions of visitors every year, and Roma Norte, the neighborhood we call home during this trip, is one of the city's safest and most walkable areas, known for its tree lined streets, cafes, and local businesses.
Traveling as a group adds an extra layer of comfort, and your Cherish guide is with you throughout the journey.
As with any major global city, we recommend staying aware of your surroundings, especially in busy markets, and we share detailed, destination specific safety guidance with every guest ahead of the trip.

Our Signature Small Group Trips are intentionally kept small. For Mexico City, the trip will be between six and twelve women. We do this on purpose. Keeping our groups this size means real conversations, genuine connections, and an experience that feels like a close knit community rather than a large tour group. It also means more meaningful time with the local women and businesses we partner with along the way.

This Mexico City journey takes place from July 21 to July 25, 2027. The trip begins and ends in Mexico City.

Guests should fly into Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and plan to arrive before 5:00 PM local time on July 21, 2027, so you're able to join the group for our Welcome Dinner that evening. Cherish will provide an arrival transfer from the airport to the hotel, regardless of your arrival time.
Departures on July 25, 2027 are at your leisure. Whatever time your flight leaves, we'll coordinate a transfer to get you back to the airport.

Not at this time. Cherish intentionally offers one trip per destination each year so we can pour our full attention into planning an incredible, one of a kind experience, from the local partners we work with to the pace of each day.
Because July 21 to 25 is the only scheduled Mexico City departure for 2027, we encourage you to book early. Our small group sizes mean this trip tends to fill up quickly.

Yes, we require a minimum of six travelers for this trip to move forward, though we almost always reach that number and beyond.
Keeping our groups intentionally small, six to twelve women, is part of what makes a Cherish trip feel like a true group experience rather than a large tour, so a full group is very much the norm rather than the exception.

This trip is designed as one complete experience, so we're not able to accommodate joining for only part of the itinerary. Each day builds on the last, and so much of the magic comes from the full group being together from the welcome dinner to the send-off, so we ask that all guests plan to join for the entire trip.

Absolutely. In fact, most Cherish travelers join us solo. Our trips are intentionally designed to create meaningful connections among women who share a love of travel, curiosity, and adventure.
Many travelers arrive without knowing anyone and leave with lifelong friendships. Whether you're outgoing or more reserved, you'll find a welcoming community and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow travelers throughout the journey.

Yes. This itinerary is thoughtfully planned, but it is not designed to feel overly packed or rushed.
You'll have free time built into the journey to explore independently, rest, enjoy a quiet meal, shop, book optional experiences, or simply take in the places we're visiting at your own pace.
Cherish will provide curated recommendations to help you make the most of your free time, but we also believe some of the best travel moments happen when there's space to wander, linger, and follow your curiosity.

For every Cherish trip, we provide a dedicated guide to travel alongside you for the duration of the journey. Our guides help facilitate the itinerary, coordinate with local partners, and ensure every traveler has an incredible experience. That's why we call our team Memory Creators.

We intentionally chose July for this trip because it's one of our favorite times to experience Mexico City.
The city turns lush and green during the summer rainy season, and afternoon showers are typically short, arriving for an hour or so before clearing into a fresh, sunny evening, rarely enough to interrupt the day's plans.
July also falls outside the city's peak tourist season (November through April), so you'll find the neighborhoods, markets, and restaurants a little less crowded, with more room to experience local life at an easier pace.

We recommend checking government websites for official, up to date information on your entry requirements, but so you have a general understanding of what to expect, you will likely need:
A valid passport, ideally with at least six months of validity remaining beyond your travel dates
No tourist visa for U.S. citizens visiting Mexico for tourism
A completed Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM), Mexico's tourist card, typically provided on your flight or available at the airport upon arrival
Proof of onward or return travel
Please note, this list is geared toward U.S. citizens traveling from the United States. Travelers holding a non-U.S. passport should research their own specific entry requirements before booking.

Travel insurance isn't required, but we highly encourage every guest to purchase it. Travel is an investment, and insurance is what protects that investment if something unexpected comes up, from trip cancellation and medical emergencies to delayed flights and lost luggage.
For Cherish trips, we point our travelers to TripAssure (soon to be renamed Redion), which offers coverage for cancellation, emergency medical and evacuation, baggage, and travel delay.

Our Mexico City trip blends the food, art, and culture of Roma Norte with visits to local markets and women-led businesses throughout the city. We expect all travelers to be respectful of local cultures, traditions, community spaces, and the people who welcome us into their markets, restaurants, and neighborhoods throughout the journey.
This trip includes a mix of guided walking tours, a local market visit, and food and cultural experiences around the city. Mexico City sits at over 7,300 feet in elevation, so some travelers may feel mild fatigue or shortness of breath, especially in the first day or two. Travelers should be comfortable walking on uneven city streets for full days of exploring, and taking it slow while you adjust to the altitude.

The cost of the Mexico City Signature Small Group Trip varies depending on whether you choose to share a room with a fellow Cherish traveler or enjoy the privacy of your own room. The shared room price is $2,678 for the 5-day travel experience, or $3,295 for a private room.
To reserve your spot, we require a $500 deposit at the time of booking. Flexible payment plans are available, allowing you to divide the remaining balance into monthly payments leading up to the trip. The final payment is due no later than June 21, 2027.

We understand that plans change, and we want you to feel confident booking with us. Here's how our cancellation policy works:
91 or more days before departure: your deposit is non-refundable, but any additional payments you've made are fully refundable
90 to 61 days before departure: your deposit is non-refundable, and additional payments are 50% refundable or available as travel credit
60 days or fewer before departure: payments made are non-refundable
Because our trips are intentionally small, every spot matters, which is why we hold to this policy closely. We always recommend purchasing travel insurance so you're protected if your plans need to change.
