Our trips are designed to champion women. We’ve scoured the globe for the best experiences: each of our itineraries has a core focus on supporting women-owned businesses throughout your journey. Let Cherish Tours help you create memories and lifelong friends with our uniquely curated, women-only travel tours.
-
Cherish travelers are adventurous and curious women, just like you. We embrace travelers of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. We’re all different, but we’re united by our love of travel: we seek out immersive and unique experiences, and ways to connect with the world around us. We never settle for the status quo, and believe in self-growth at any age. We’re here to support women and cheer you along, before, during and after your trip with us.
-
Our groups for this trip range from 8 to 14 travelers. We keep things intentionally small so you can build real connections with your fellow travelers and the local women and experts we meet along the way.
-
Absolutely. In fact, most Cherish travelers join us solo. Our trips are intentionally designed to create meaningful connections among women who share a love of travel, curiosity, and adventure.
Many travelers arrive without knowing anyone and leave with lifelong friendships. Whether you're outgoing or more reserved, you'll find a welcoming community and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow travelers throughout the journey.
-
You'll fly into Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to begin the trip, and depart from Bergen Airport, Flesland (BGO) at the end of your journey.
We recommend for the day of arrival that you arrive prior to 5:00 PM local time in order to join the cooking class/welcome dinner on the first evening. Your departure is at your leisure. -
Denmark uses the Danish Krone (DKK) and Norway uses the Norwegian Krone (NOK), so the currency changes when you cross the border. Both countries are highly cashless, and credit and debit cards are accepted almost everywhere, including small shops and cafes. We recommend a card with no foreign transaction fees, and carrying a small amount of cash as backup isn't necessary but also doesn't hurt.
-
We recommend checking government websites for official, up-to-date information on your entry requirements, but so that you have a general understanding of what to expect, you will need:
A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining beyond your travel dates
Starting in the final quarter of 2026, a valid ETIAS travel authorization, a simple, low-cost approval you apply for online before departure (we'll send updated guidance on this as your trip approaches, since the system is new)
Proof of onward or return travel
Information about your accommodations and purpose of travel
Denmark and Norway do not currently require any COVID-19 testing or vaccination for entry, and there are no additional vaccination requirements for travelers arriving from the United States.
Please note, this list is geared toward US citizens traveling from the United States. Travelers holding a non-US passport should research their own specific entry requirements before booking.

We expect all travelers to be respectful of local cultures, traditions, community spaces, and the people who welcome us into their kitchens, boats, farms, and businesses throughout the trip.
This trip includes a mix of guided walks, a hands-on cooking class, boat and yacht cruises, train journeys, and a visit to a local farm. Travelers should be comfortable walking on cobblestone streets, getting on and off boats, and spending full days exploring, with some optional hikes available for those who want to add more activity.
Please inquire further or schedule a call with us if you have any questions about whether this trip is the right fit for you.

You’ll also be joined by expert local safari guides and community hosts throughout the journey.

The Norway and Denmark journey takes place June 19-26, 2027.
-
June is one of the best times to experience Denmark and Norway. Copenhagen settles into mild, pleasant weather, with daytime temperatures in the upper 60s (°F), long days, and the city's parks and canals in full bloom.
In Bergen and the fjords, June brings close to 19 hours of daylight around the summer solstice, mild temperatures, and every train, ferry, and fjord cruise running on its full summer schedule.
This trip is also timed around Sankthansaften, Norway's Midsummer Eve celebration, which always falls on June 23rd and fills the fjords with bonfires and long, golden evenings, a truly special night to experience in Gudvangen.
-
For all of Cherish’s signature trips, we provide a thorough recommended packing list. Here’s a quick overview to give you a sense of what to pack for this trip:
June in Denmark and Norway is mild, but layers are your best friend. Expect daytime temperatures in the 50s to 60s (°F), cooler evenings, and the possibility of rain, especially in the fjords. We recommend a waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes for cobblestones and uneven trails, a swimsuit for the fjordside sauna, and a warmer layer for evenings.
For the two nights we are visiting the base of the fjords, we also recommend packing light: bring just a small bag or daypack and leave your main luggage at the Bergen hotel. -
This trip is best suited for travelers who are comfortable walking for extended periods, including on cobblestone streets and uneven surfaces in Copenhagen and Bergen, and getting on and off boats for our canal, harbor, and fjord cruises.
Most included activities are low to moderate in intensity. For those who want more of a physical challenge, optional add-ons range from an easy, mostly flat walk along the fjord in Gudvangen to a more strenuous hike up Mount Ulriken in Bergen.
If you have specific mobility concerns, please reach out to us before booking so we can help determine whether this trip is a good fit.
