Day One (April 21)

Arrive in Costa Rica

Upon arrival at San Jose International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our local team for a quick 10-15 minute drive to your first hotel conveniently located near the airport.

Check in at our welcoming, woman-owned hotel, a place that blends convenience, comfort, and delicious high-end dining. Take a moment to unwind and explore the vibrant surroundings.

At 7:00 PM, the group will come together for our Welcome Dinner at the woman-owned restaurant on the hotel property. This first evening offers a delightful introduction to Costa Rica and a chance to meet your fellow travelers.

Day Two (April 22)

Visit An Active Volcano

Start your incredible experience in Costa Rica with a stunning road trip through the country side into the mountains. You and your fellow travelers will be picked up after breakfast to drive through the mountains towards the tallest active volcano in Costa Rica at over 11,000 feet. Walk on top of the volcano and gaze down into multiple volcanic craters.

End the day in the serene jungle valley floor at our 4-star category hotel. Cheers to the evening with an optional mixology class* taught by an expert bartender.

Day Three (April 23)

Full Day Exploring the Jungle

Today is your next opportunity to choose how you want to immerse yourself further in the natural surroundings of Costa Rica. Choose from the included adventure excursions, a waterfall hike and swim or tube down the famous Pejibaye River.

Day Four (April 24)

Relaxing Day in the Central Valley Oasis

Start the day with a guided yoga class and sun salutations. Today is yours to choose how you would like to spend it. Enjoy time by the pool, book a massage at the hotel spa, take a hike in the area nearby, or visit the botanical gardens. Cherish has also curated some add-on experiences to enhance your day. Take an afternoon guided horseback riding tour* or enjoy a SUP paddle boarding class* before sunset.

End the day by rejoining the group for a traditional Costa Rican cooking class taught by an executive chef.

Day Five (April 25)

The History of Chocolate is Female!

Chocolate becomes even more special when you know the history, where it comes from, and how it's made. During our group immersive experience you will learn all of these things and discover how the history of chocolate is female. Participate in a sacred chocolate ceremony and an educational farm tour at this husband and wife owned farm.

After returning to the hotel after the chocolate experience, close out your immersive vacation with a final send off dinner.

Extend Your Trip! (April 26-29)

Want to extend your trip so that you can see the Pacific Coast?

Cherish has planned a wonderful opportunity to visit the coast with all of the details coordinated and handled on your behalf. Stay beachside right on Jaco beach for 3 additional nights before your departure.

Included in the extension is transportation from Turrialba, your accommodations, daily breakfast, and one curated beach excursion.

Add the Jaco Beach Extension for $805 for a shared room and $1,075 for a private room.

Please note: Our team is coordinating two designated departures for each destination to easefully return you to the airport in time for your flight.

Welcome to Costa Rica! You will be greeted at the airport with transportation arranged by Cherish to take you to our first hotel. This hotel is a quaint woman-owned property conveniently located near the airport. The hotel was originally the owner's family home and has since been renovated to welcome guests. The simplistic comfortable stay will welcome you to Costa Rica with an authentic experience.

Who are the other women on the Cherish trip?

Cherish travelers are adventurous and curious women, just like you. We embrace travelers of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. What airport do I fly in/out of?

You will arrive and depart from Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO).

Cherish facilitates all group transportation for your trip, including picking you up and dropping you off at the airport. SJO is approximately 10 minutes away from our first hotel, conveniently located near the airport. The suggested arrival time is prior to 5:00 PM on April 21st to allow enough time for pick up and transfer to join the group dinner at 7:00 PM.

We will offer two scheduled departure transfers for your return to the airport at 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM for your departures from the Central Valley. If you are extending your trip to Jaco, we will offer one scheduled transfer back to San Jose coordinated based on the group's departure time.

What are the travel requirements for entry into Costa Rica?

We recommend checking government websites for official, up-to-date information on your entry requirements, but so that you have a general understanding of what to expect, you will need:

Valid passport within at least six months of expiration
Return ticket to the country of origin or the next destination to visit
In some cases, the Immigration official may request you show economic solvency for your stay in the country.
Address of the place of lodging and purpose of travel
US travelers do not require a tourist visa to visit Costa Rica

Panama does NOT require any vaccinations, testing, or otherwise for entry related to Covid-19.

Please note, this list is geared toward US citizens traveling from the US. Travelers who hold a non-US passport should inquire further to gain more information about their own specific travel requirements.

What are the activities like? What should I know in advance?

Cherish Trips are for women curious about mindful and immersive travel.

Our Panama Blissful Paradise vacation is a culturally immersive experience that requires some additional considerations prior to travel in comparison to Cherish's other offered destinations. We expect all women who sign up for the Panama vacation to be respectful of local cultures and wildlife.

Arriving at the remote island lodge does require a 1-hour boat transfer. Our accommodations are gorgeous, comfortable and charming, but are not five-star luxury resorts (which we think is a good thing). Please inquire further or book a call with us if you have any questions or would like to discuss further.

Who is my Cherish travel guide throughout the trip?

For every Cherish trip, we provide a dedicated guide to travel alongside you for the duration of the trip. They are with you to not only facilitate the itinerary but also ensure you have an incredible travel experience. That's why we call our team "Memory Creators." They work with our local partners, tour operators, etc. to seamlessly create an impactful and memorable experience for your vacation.

When is the trip?

The trip is from April 21-26, 2026 with an optional additional extension to Jaco Beach from April 26-29, 2026.

How much does the trip cost? Are there payment plans available?

The cost of the trip varies depending on whether you book a shared room with a fellow Cherish traveler or a private room. The shared room price is $2,195 for the full 6-day, 5-night Costa Rica Extended Weekend vacation, or $2,795 for a private room with a private bathroom.

The Jaco Beach Extension is priced separately at $805 for a shared room and $1,075 for a private room with a private bathroom. This includes: 4-day, 3-night extension with transportation from Turrialba, your accommodations, daily breakfast, and one curated beach excursion.

To reserve your space, we require a $500 deposit. We offer up to five additional payments.

When do I need to book my trip? How can I book my trip?

Trip bookings are now open for our Costa Rica trip and we are accepting reservations through March 20, 2026. The trip will be from April 21-26, 2026. To book, please make your room selection (shared room vs. private) and submit a deposit.
