Our Founder has family that lives in Denmark, visits Iceland annually, and extended family that grew up on the Faroe Islands. Every element of this experience has a local perspective added to it.

Start your trip in Iceland surrounded by stunning nature and find out for yourself why it is one of the most touristed countries in the world. Then head to the Faroe Islands and experience the extreme beauty of nature. End your trip in Copenhagen, famous for its beautiful canals, delicious food, and charming and walkable streets.

Arrivals - Day One

Welcome to the gorgeous country of Iceland. Arrive at your leisure and make your way to Reykjavik City Center. Cherish will also offer one transfer from the International Airport to City Center for our guests.

Settle in and relax or start exploring with curated recommendations on how to explore Iceland's capital city.

Day Two - Explore Iceland's Southern Coast

Our local female guide will take us exploring through Iceland's southern coast, home to some of the most remarkable sites in Iceland. Today we will see two phenomenal waterfalls, visit the famous black sand beach, and then you can choose to take on an adventure and hike on top of a glacier* or explore a historical heritage museum. End the day with a group dinner along the coast.

Day Three - River Hot Springs & Hike

Our local female guide will be back to take us on another adventure outside of the city. Today we will take a group hike to the Reykjadalur valley. The hike will lead you to a natural river up in the mountain and you will have the option to bathe in the river. We end the incredible experience with a picnic surrounded by nature.

Each day in Iceland our local guide will assess the weather for the best night to chase the Northern Lights

Day Four - The Blue Lagoon

Before leaving the stunning country of Iceland, we have to make a stop at the iconic Blue Lagoon. Feel pampered with an included mud mask and a complimentary drink before heading to the airport to fly to the Faroe Islands.

Day Four Continued - Arrival in the Faroe Islands

Upon arriving in the Faroe Islands, head straight to the magical cottages that will be our home for the next few days. These cottages were recently featured in a film as the setting for Neverland. You will truly feel in a magical place while being here.

After checking in, join the group for a unique lakeside dinner cruise with waterfall viewing.

Day Five - Full Day in the Faroe Islands

Be surrounded by incredible natural beauty and soak in the views all around you. You will have the opportunity today to relax in this stunning setting or choose to join the group for an epic hike* over the top of a nearby mountain.

End the magical day with dinner at a local family owned cafe.

Day Six - Exploring the Faroe Islands

Spend the day immersed in some of the most beautiful nature in our world. We will be site seeing through one of this country's most beautiful islands, Eysturoy – the villages Eiði, Gjógv, and Funningur. After sightseeing join the group for a one-of-a-kind sauna experience with heat therapy.

Day Seven - Heading to Copenhagen

Spend one last morning immersed in the views around you at the cottages in the Faroe Islands. Then take a quick flight from nearby airport to Denmark's capital city of Copenhagen.

The rest of the day is yours to explore this stunning and incredibly safe city by yourself or with your new friends with curated recommendations.

Day Eight - Exploring Copenhagen Further

On your second full day in Denmark, explore Denmark's most visited capital city Copenhagen. Cherish has curated some final group activities that you can join or you can choose to spend more time exploring your preferred parts of the city on your own.

End your incredible travel experience with a send off dinner*

Departures

On your last morning, feel free to take your time and enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Your departure flight time is at your own leisure. Cherish's travel guide will assist you in finding the train from central station back to the airport in time for your flight.

Arrival Hotel - Reykjavik

Welcome to Reykjavik, Iceland! You will be greeted at the airport with transportation arranged by Cherish to take you to our first hotel. This bed and breakfast is a quaint woman-owned property conveniently located only a 5-minute drive from Reykjavik. This home away from home is a peaceful space to rejuvenate from your Iceland adventures and gaze up at the Northern Lights. The guesthouse welcomes our travelers with a comfortable stay and a cozy way to gather with fellow travelers.

Faroe Islands Cottages - Vagar

Our home in the Faroe Islands is extraordinary and otherworldly. These cottages are the setting for Neverland in one of the more recent Peter Pan movie renditions. You will be surrounded by stunning views in every direction. Make sure to be on the look out for rainbows out of your cottage window too. Due to the uniqueness of these accommodations, we are unable to provide private rooms here. There are 4 guests sharing one cottage with a living room, full kitchen, full bathroom, and two small bedrooms.

Boutique Hotel - Copenhagen

Welcome to the vibrant city of Copenhagen! Your accommodations for your stay here is a 4-star rated boutique hotel in the center of the city only minutes walk away from Central Station. Stepping into this hotel will make you feel like you've stepped foot out of the busy city and into an oasis. The hotel is eco-conscious gem with a lush courtyard, rooftop patio, and rooms with a Nordic-Balinese design.

Airport information - Keflavík, Iceland International Airport
Official Name - Keflavík International Airport (KEF)

Cherish facilitates all group transportation for your trip, including picking you up from the airport and dropping you off for your departure flight. Keflavík International Airport is approximately 1 hour away from Reykjavik city center. We will arrange one transfer for the group, if you would prefer to go into the city earlier than the schedule transfer time you will need to book your own transportation. Suggested arrival time prior to 5:00 PM on September 6th to allow enough time for pick up and transfer from the airport in order to join the group dinner at 7:00 PM.

Our hotel in Copenhagen is conveniently located only minutes from Central Station. Your Travel Guide will direct you back to Central Station with a train ticket in hand to take you back to the international airport. Departures are at your leisure on September 14th.

Full pick up details will be sent to you at least one week prior to your arrival.

COVID-19 Travel Requirements

Iceland does NOT require any vaccinations, testing, or otherwise for entry related to COVID-19.

The Faroe Islands are a part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Both countries no longer consider COVID-19 deadly and do NOT have entry requirements related to the virus.

Valid passport within at least six months of expiration
Return ticket to the country of origin or the next destination to visit
American travelers are only allowed in the EU for up to 90 days
Address of the place of lodging and purpose of travel.
US travelers do not require a tourist visa to visit Denmark, the Faroe Islands, or Iceland
We are closely tracking the need for an ETIAS visa and will keep our travelers updated

Activity Level & Health Considerations

Cherish Trips are for women curious about mindful and immersive travel

The Nordic Getaway is approachable for women of all ages who consider themselves to be lightly active, open-minded, and outgoing.
The Nordic Getaway is curated with active and adventurous travelers in mind. We have several full-group activities planned to make the most of this grand adventure. There are a couple of group activities that require consideration for your physical fitness level. These include the Glacier Hike and River Valley Hike in Iceland and the Postman's Hike in the Faroe Islands. Each of our travelers are able to opt out of all of the more difficult hikes.

They are with you to not only facilitate the itinerary but also ensure you have an incredible travel experience. That's why we call our team "Memory Creators". They work with our local partners, tour operators, etc. to seamlessly create an impactful and memorable experience for your vacation.

How to Book

You can sign up for your Nordic Getaway today by clicking the "Submit Deposit" or "Travel with Us" buttons to open a pop-up menu to make your room selections, enter your personal details, see your payment options, and then submit your payment to join.

The Nordic Getaway requires a non-refundable $500 deposit to be able to secure your spot. You have the option to make 5 additional payments via a payment plan for the remaining trip balance or simply pay in full.
