Arrivals - Day One

Fly into Costa Rica's capitol, San Jose and be greeted at the airport by your direct transportation to the first hotel only minutes away from the airport.

Settle in and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. Then meet your fellow travelers for the first time at the Welcome Dinner at a stunning woman-owned restaurant.

Day Two - Visit a Volcano

Visit Costa Rica's Tallest Active Volcano

Start your incredible experience in Costa Rica with a stunning road trip through the country side into the mountains. You and your fellow travelers will be picked up after breakfast to drive through the mountains towards the tallest active volcano in Costa Rica at over 11,000 feet. Walk on top of the volcano and gaze down into multiple volcanic craters.

End the day in the serene jungle valley floor at our 4-star category hotel. Cheers to the evening with an optional mixology class* taught by an expert bartender.

Day Three - Adventure Excursions

Full Day Exploring the Jungle

Today is your next opportunity to choose how you want to immerse yourself further in the natural surroundings of Costa Rica. Choose from the included adventure excursions, a waterfall hike and swim or tube down the famous Pejibaye River.

Day Four - Day of Rejuvenation

Relaxing Day in the Valley Oasis

Start the day with a guided yoga class and sun salutations. Today is yours to choose how you would like to spend it. Enjoy time by the pool, book a massage at the hotel spa, take a hike in the area nearby, or visit the botanical gardens. Cherish has also curated some add-on experiences to enhance your day. Take an afternoon guided horseback riding tour* or enjoy a SUP paddle boarding class* before sunset.

End the day by rejoining the group for a traditional Costa Rican cooking class taught by an executive chef.

Day Five - Local Chocolate Tour

The History of Chocolate is Female

Chocolate becomes even more special when you know the history, where it comes from, and how it's made. During our group immersive experience you will learn all of these things and discover how the history of chocolate is female. Participate in a sacred chocolate ceremony and an educational farm tour at this husband and wife owned farm.
After returning to the hotel after the chocolate experience, close out your immersive vacation with a final send off dinner.

Departures - Day Six

Choose to depart first thing in the morning or enjoy a little extra time at the hotel before saying your goodbyes. Have an easeful departure with your transfer back to San Jose International Airport handled by us.
Say see you later to beautiful Costa Rica and fly home in the afternoon at a time that works best for you.

OPTIONAL EXTENSION - VISIT THE COAST

2 Nights/3 Days in Jaco

Want to extend your trip so that you can see the Pacific Coast?
Cherish has planned a wonderful opportunity to visit the coast with all of the details coordinated and handled on your behalf. Stay beach side right on Jaco beach for 2 additional nights before your departure.
Included in the extension is transportation from Turrialba, your accommodations, daily breakfast, and one curated beach excursion.

Add the Jaco Beach Extension for $495 for a shared room and $695 for a private room.

Arrival Hotel - San Jose

Welcome to Costa Rica! You will be greeted at the airport with transportation arranged by Cherish to take you to our first hotel. This hotel is a quaint woman-owned property conveniently located near the airport. The hotel was originally the owner's family home and has since been renovated to welcome guests. The simplistic comfortable stay will welcome you to Costa Rica with an authentic experience.

Jungle Valley Hotel - Turrialba

Welcome to your beautiful jungle oasis in a secluded valley outside of the small town of Turrialba. One of Cherish's favorite hotels amongst all of our trips, this woman-ran property is glamorous and elegant with its colonial deco boutique style. It is full of charm and makes you feel in a home away from home with the personal attention of our devoted bilingual staff. It is sure to impress with the surrounding exotic tropical landscape and views in every direction.

Beach Hotel - Jaco

BEACH HOTEL OFFERED FOR THE EXTENSION ONLY
This beachfront boutique hotel and beach resort is located on an intimate oceanfront property on the south side of Jaco Beach. It is only a few minutes walk to many shops and local restaurants in the city. It is the only four-star category resort in all of Jaco beach. The hotel offers one of the top rated surf schools onsite, a full service spa, a unique beachfront tiki bar, and restaurant to further enjoy your extension to your vacation beach side.

Cherish facilitates all group transportation for your trip, including picking you up from the airport and dropping you off for your departure flight. Suggested arrival time prior to 5:00 PM on April 22nd to allow enough time for pick up and transfer from the airport in order to join the group dinner at 7:00 PM

Departures are suggested to be after 12:30 PM on April 27th.
Departures will be on April 29th if you are extending your trip to Jaco Beach. Departures are suggested to be after 11:30 AM on April 29th.

Full pick up details will be sent to you at least one week prior to your arrival.

Travel Requirements

Entry Requirements for Costa Rica*

Valid passport within at least six months of expiration
Return ticket to the country of origin or the next destination to visit
In some cases, the Immigration official may request you show economic solvency for your stay in the country.
Address of the place of lodging and purpose of travel
Currently, there are no COVID-19 related requirements for US travelers
US travelers do not require a tourist visa to visit Costa Rica

Cherish Trips are for women curious about mindful and immersive travel

The Costa Rica trip is approachable for women of all ages who consider themselves to be lightly active, open-minded, and outgoing.
The Costa Rica trip has several opportunities for personal choice in order to have an experience that feels curated to your specific needs. The group activities that require consideration for your physical fitness level are Turrialba Volcano hike, tubing on the Pejibaye River, and the elevation gain to the tallest active volcano in Costa Rica.
The activities labeled with an asterisk* are optional activities that you can add to your experience or that you may opt out of if you so choose.

How to Book

You can sign up for your Costa Rican Adventure today by clicking the "Submit Deposit" or "Travel with Us" buttons to open a pop-up menu to make your room selections, enter your personal details, see your payment options, and then submit your payment to join.

The Costa Rica trip requires a non-refundable $500 deposit to be able to secure your spot. You have the option to make 5 additional payments via a payment plan for the remaining trip balance or simply pay in full.
